Current COVID Protocols
We are so excited to announce that we are able to host the Kingston Canadians Tournament Series - U10 and U11 AA/A tournament on Feb. 4th – Feb. 6th!!  We do have some restrictions in place – see below for details.

We continue to work closely with KFL&A Public Health to ensure compliance with the local and provincial re-opening framework. We ask you to ensure all participants adhere to these protocols while in our facilities. Failure to comply will result in your teams removal from the tournament. Please note that these protocols currently in place are subject to change.  As you all know, things change quickly, I will do my best to let you know of any changes as soon as I hear.

UPON ENTRY TO ALL KINGSTON ARENA’S: Screening will be done to everyone entering the facility.  Anyone born in 2009 and earlier is required to show a QR Code Vaccine Certificate as proof of vaccination with ID to the City Of Kingston employee when they enter the facility.   The City of Kingston will each day supply a wrist band once you have shown proof of vaccination so you will not be required to show it again that day when you enter for the second game to speed up this process.

Note:  For all games held at the Invista Centre – please make sure you enter at the appropriate entrance:
Selkirk and MNP Pads – you must enter through the south doors
CUPE and Desjardin Pads – you must enter through the north doors

All other venues have only once entrance to be used.

Participants (all participants born in 2009 and earlier are required to be fully vaccinated)

• Maximum of 50 participants at ice level – this means 22 per team so we have enough for on ice officials, etc.
• Masks must be worn at all times, until helmets are on or the patron is on the ice surface.
• Designated shower stalls will be marked and available for use.
• Patrons are not required to come dressed for play and can arrive a maximum of 30 minutes prior to scheduled ice time. Screening is still required at this time upon entry.
• You must adhere to dressing room capacity limits – not all players can be in the dressing room at one time, skates can be tied on the benches outside the dressing rooms, etc. Team talks can be done on the bench before you go out.   Please make sure to follow the capacity limits for dressing rooms – failure to do so will result in your teams’ removal from the tournament without refund.
• Participants must exit ice immediately at the end of game buzzer. Delays will not be tolerated due to the impact on cleaning protocols.
• Patrons must vacate dressing room a maximum of 20 Minutes after final buzzer.

Spectators & general information  (see note above regarding those born in 2009 or earlier will need to show QR Code vaccine certificate as proof of vaccination and ID at time of entry into the facility)

• Maximum of 100 people in the stands maintaining physical distancing of 6ft (2m), unless members of the same household.  NOTE:  the general rule in place is 2 spectators per player allowed.  This does not count the bench staff as they are already accounted for in the one ice numbers.  Each team must not under any circumstance exceed 50 people – failure to comply will result in the teams’ removal from the tournament without refund.
• Food and beverages will be permitted and can be consumed in seated spectating areas, with physical distancing being maintained. Masks should only be removed for eating or drinking. water fill stations are available, and users are permitted to bring refillable water bottles for use.
• Patrons must proceed directly to permitted area. No loitering is permitted in the lobby or main concourse areas.  All spectators must be seated in the seating area, they will not be allowed to view the games from the hallways.

We are so excited to be back to playing hockey and hosting tournaments again!  In our efforts to keep everyone safe and on the ice, any team found in violation of the above protocols will be removed from the tournament without refund.

Thank you all for your patience and I look forward to meeting you in February!
