Here's what happened with the Kingston Canadians this weekend!

Congratulations to our U14AA (Brett Gibson) on winning the Regional Silver Stick this past weekend in Cobourg! The team started off well with a win over Gloucester Rangers, then lost a close 1-0 battle to Quinte West Golden Hawks. In a short tournament, the next game was crucial, and the team rebounded with a 5-1 over the Ajax/Pickering Panthers. After winning a tight semi-final to Peterborough 2-0, they beat the South Simcoe Storm 4-1 in the Final with goals from Zane Reid, Josef Blanchette, Ronan Hingley and Matthew Hunt. The team will now move on to the next round of the Silver Stick in Newmarket next month, hoping to punch their ticket to the Final!

Our U16AA (Brayden Robinson) also had a great weekend at the Silver Stick, coming up just short in the semi-final losing to the eventual winner the Whitby Wildcats 5-4 in overtime.

Big weekend for our U12A team who won three straight (6-point weekend) beating Ajax/Pickering in the Rink of Dreams on Friday 3-0 and again on Saturday 5-0. The team capped off the weekend on Sunday with a 7-2 road win in Oshawa. The team arrived 10 minutes before puck drop today because of the weather but didn't miss a beat. Hats of two both goalies Gabriel Gibson and Hudson Lloyd on stellar weekend.

Our U15A (Rob Davidson) team has been on a roll lately going 6-2-2 in their last 10 games including a big win today against the previously undefeated Oshawa Generals 1-0 on the road.    The big goal was scored by Ayden Martin in the second frame with Matteo Caruso saving 45 for the shutout.

Our Select league started this week with our U11 (James Patenaude) team playing to a 0-0 tie with the Oshawa OCHL team, the U13 Selects (Connor and Charlie Ford) won their opener 3-1 against the same Oshawa OCHL team and the U18 Selects (Jeff Ovens) played an exhibition game against Stouffville and lost 5-3.
