KAMHA is excited to announce our continued partnership with "The First Shift" for the Fall of 2024!
Registration is done directly through The First Shift - link is below. Registration opens on June 3rd at noon. Please select the Kingston Area Minor Hockey Association program when registering!
Single Location - First Shift
Welcome Event - scheduled for Wednesday Nov. 6th at the Memorial Centre - 303 York Street - time TBD.
First Session - Wednesday Nov. 13th - at the Invista Centre - Selkirk pad from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - every Wednesday for 6 weeks, ending Dec. 18th 2024.
** please note that this is available for players between 6 and 10 years of age who have never previously enrolled in minor hockey within Canada. To be eligible to participate, children must be born between January 1, 2014, and May 1, 2019.
The program will start on Nov. 13th 2024 at the Invista Centre - Selkirk pad from 6 - 7 pm - 50 minutes plus 10 min of flood time)
Each registered participant will receive:
- 6 weeks of one (1) hour cross-ice instructional sessions
- Head-to-toe Bauer hockey equipment ** Please note the First Shift Welcome Event will be Nov. 6th at the Memorial Centre - 303 York Street - time TBD. This is where you will receive your equipment.
The cost is $299.00

If your child is between 4-5 years old and would like to start hockey, we do have our Steve Carter - Intro to Hockey program for them - they are too young to register for The First Shift. Click here for that program information.
