Volunteer Opportunity - U18 KAMHA members

On-Ice Helper

Special Hockey Division, Kingston Canadians



Our Mission

To help Kingston Canadian Special Hockey players thrive in an on-ice environment with an emphasis on fun, cooperation, encouragement and safety.


Duties and Responsibilities

Help players get dressed before our ice time

Engage with all players on the ice

Help with drills and scrimmage games

Be aware of players needing assistance and help accordingly

Be mindful of all players’ safety and report to the Coach any issues that arise

Help players remove some equipment after our ice time


Time Requirement

Saturdays from October 17 to December 20 2025

Saturdays from January 11 to February 28 2026

12pm - 1pm, Cataraqui-Kinsmen Arena, Cataraqui ice pad

Requested to arrive at rink at 11:30am, leave rink after players have left

The Program needs commitment from any combination of three (3) On-Ice Helpers every Saturday (for insurance purposes, must be KAMHA-registered)


Orientation and Training

45-minute Zoom call with Coach Doug prior to our first ice time Sat Oct 17

Pre-ice time discussion in person Sat Oct 17 at the rink
